Christmas Story December 1, 2008

So I ahve been thinking about the Christmas Story a lot in the last few days.  See I love Christmas and how Jesus was born and the great celebration that is on that day in remembering him.  Well in the last few days I have been feeling a little bit different with the story.  Since I am carrying my own little gift from God in my belly, I have been thinking more about Mary.  I have been wondering how Mary was feeling.  My first question would be did she really carry Jesus for 9 months or did God speed up the process in her?  Did she have the morning sickness? When she craved food, what was it?  But more importantly how nervous she was when it came to the end of the pregnancy.  Since I’m carrying my first baby also I have all these thoughts and some fears about the baby….(I’m sure many other mothers agree) If I was Mary and traveling on that Donkey I would probably be very comfortable.  I know that she had a lot of faith in God and that He would take care of her but still human natural we freak out still.  And not knowing what labor feels like and having the animals around that probably bugged her nose like crazy.  Mary is awesome not only for bringing the most amazing gift to this earth but also for going through a lot of things that were unknown….I just wish that somewhere I could read her thoughts on the whole pregnancy.
